
Michele is a Risk Analyst supporting ILX’s risk management framework and the development of quantitative tools for assessing and monitoring risks.Prior to joining ILX, he worked for two years at the European Central Bank within the Single Supervisory Mechanism, where he contributed to banking supervision and policy evaluation at the European level. In this role, he helped enhance supervisory methodologies, improve the efficiency of internal processes, and strengthen risk management practices to reduce systemic risk across major financial institutions. His work involved conducting risk assessments, benchmarking exercises, and developing statistical models to support data-driven evaluation of supervisory effectiveness. He began his career in research at the University of Bologna, collaborating with international scholars on projects exploring the long-term drivers of economic development.
Michele holds an MSc in Econometrics from the University of Bologna and a BSc in Economics from the University of Milan.
