Upgrading sustainable logistics capacity in Ecuador

Parques Logisticos Effitek S.A.S. is developing Itulpark, a logistics park located in the parish of Pfifo in Ecuador, designed to provide high-quality warehouse and storage infrastructure at a vital point close to the capital city’s international airport.

ILX participated in financing, alongside IDB Invest, to support the design, construction and operation of a greenfield logistics warehouse & storage facility designed to the highest international environmental standards, including an EDGE building certificate. The project increases the quality and reliability of infrastructure in Ecuador by reducing the capital city’s logistics infrastructure gap and reducing transport congestion in the city. At the same time, the park’s environmental impact is reduced through significant energy savings compared to traditional construction and the implementation of waste recycling. Additionally, solar PV panels will be installed in all warehouses.
