Supporting SME and agricultural financing in Tanzania

ILX participated in a B-loan as part of a BII-led financing to one of Tanzania’s largest commercial banks. The transaction is ILX’s first investment in Tanzania and, most notably, its first investment alongside British International Investment (BII).

Loan proceeds are allocated equally to MSME lending and wholesale agriculture, supporting the growth of both portfolios. The investment contributes to enhanced financial inclusion, strengthened food security, and job creation, particularly in rural areas.
