Pioneering SAF production in Pakistan

SAFCO Venture is a renewable energy company based in Pakistan, focused on decarbonising the aviation sector.

ILX participated in a B-loan originated by ADB that supports the design, construction and operation of a 200,000 tons per annum Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) facility in Sheikhupura, Pakistan. The plant will produce SAF, renewable diesel, and bio naphtha, and will be located next to an existing SAF operation, optimising resources and infrastructure to reduce capital costs and construction time. This way, the financing supports the development of more sustainable energy solutions in the aviation and transport sectors.
