Expanding solar energy capacity in Bangladesh

Dynamics Sun Energy is a company in Bangladesh established to design, finance, construct, operate and maintain the 100 MW Paramount Solar power plant.

ILX joined ADB in financing to support the development and operation of the plant, enabling the expansion of the country’s renewable energy generation and reducing its reliance on fossil-fuel-based electricity. As one of the first projects of its kind to attract international financing, it marks an important step in scaling solar energy in the country. By increasing the share of renewable energy in the power mix, the project supports a more sustainable and resilient energy system, helping the sector build a track record for future solar investments.
