Expanding access to green vehicle finance in Colombia

Finanzauto, a certified B company, is a Colombia-based company specialising in asset-based vehicle finance, with a strong focus on supporting underserved communities. The company primarily finances self-employed individuals and MSMEs, with a notable share of its lending (39%) directed to women.

ILX participated in the transaction, alongside IDB Invest, to support financing of credit for MSMEs that seek finance for vehicles as a productive asset or require working capital to develop a productive activity and be given access to the financial system. The funding also enables Finanzauto to grow its “green mobility” portfolio, focused on vehicles with lower emissions and hybrid and electric vehicles. With this funding, Finanzauto broadens access to the financial system while facilitating more sustainable transport solutions in Colombia.
