Accelerating low-emission mobility in Türkiye

Ford Otosan is a leading automotive manufacturer in Türkiye and a key exporter to the European markets, with a growing focus on the transition to electric and hybrid commercial vehicles.

Through its participation alongside EBRD, ILX supports the implementation of a large-scale investment programme, which involves the upgrading of the company’s next-generation 1-ton cargo van MCVs, including Battery Electrical Vehicle (BEV) and Plug-in Hybrid Electrical Vehicle (PHEV) variants. The remainder of the facility, comprising 24%, is allocated to the manufacturing of internal combustion vehicles (ICE), supporting the further development and modernisation of the country’s automotive industry, ensuring the industry can continue to create direct and indirect jobs, export high-value-add products and generate hard currency.
