Kirstine Damkjaer is an investment and development finance executive with more than 25 years of experience. She has held senior executive roles across public, private, and multilateral institutions, most recently as UN Assistant Secretary-General and Deputy Executive Director at UNOPS, overseeing scaling of project delivery and global partnerships. Previously, she served as Chief Executive Officer of EKF, Denmark’s export credit agency, and as Global Head of Equity and CIO at the IFC. Earlier in her career, she was a principal with the IFC Asset Management Company and a principal portfolio manager at the World Bank Pension Fund and Endowment. In addition to her executive roles, she has served as chair and non-executive director of leading financial and industrial institutions, including Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), Formuepleje, and PensionDanmark, among others.
Kirstine is a graduate of the University of Aarhus, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and has completed executive training at MIT Sloan (AI and business strategy), Stanford Graduate School of Business, INSEAD, and IMD.
