Expanding inclusive vehicle financing in Colombia

ILX participated in a loan led by IFC to a leading vehicle financing company in Colombia, marking ILX’s second transaction to this borrower.

ILX participated in this follow-on transaction to help the company further expand its lending to MSMEs, with a strong focus on women borrowers. At least 90% of the proceeds are destined to finance MSMEs, of which 40% is exclusively to finance women, either individuals or women-owned MSMEs, and 10% will be used for climate-smart projects, in the form of purchasing Hybrid and Electric Vehicles. This way, the financing enables increased access to credit for underserved communities while helping the transition to a more sustainable and resilient economy.
