Advancing sustainable food processing in Türkiye

MDB/DFI Counterpart: EBRD

ILX participated in financing with two tranches, arranged by EBRD, to a leading Turkish processor and trader of pulses, rice, and bulgur products, operating two large-scale production facilities in Ankara and Mersin with a combined capacity of over 1.6 million tonnes per year.

The transaction supports the company’s working capital needs and enables an investment for solar panel installation and the purchase of new machinery for a factory in Nigde, Central Anatolia. The financing is part of a larger package that supports the company’s growth and sustainability initiatives, leading to resource efficiency improvements and GHG reductions in its operations. Additionally, the project enables the delivery of a nationally accredited training and work placement programme, in partnership with local education providers, targeting young women and men currently not in employment, education, or training. The first tranche has since been terminated.
