Please join NorNAB, Norfund, ILX and Norsif to discuss the opportunities of sustainable investments in emerging markets for institutional investors.
24th of September 2024, 12:00 – 16:00 CET. The Conduit, Oslo
Event Overview
The key objective of the seminar is to discuss sustainable, climate and development-focused investment opportunities in emerging markets (“EM”) for institutional investors, in particular Nordic-based pension funds. The event will also highlight the role that Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) can play in developing investment opportunities, as experienced and uniquely placed co-investment partners. Norfund, Norsif, NorNAB and ILX will convene senior representatives from Nordic-based pension funds, as well as leading asset managers, fiduciary advisors, and investment experts from MDBs and DFIs. We will hear about different opportunities for sustainable investment across emerging markets, as well as practical examples from experts.
Participants
The event will host approximately 50 senior representatives from Nordic-based pension funds, investment-focused professionals, leading asset managers, academics, consultants, and development finance experts from MDBs, DFIs and the Norwegian government.
Key Objectives
- Introduce EM and Development Finance as an attractive, high impact asset class and investment opportunity with attractive risk-return and direct climate and social impact.
- Demystify the perception that investments in emerging markets through Development Finance are too risky and/or doesn’t offer attractive risk-adjusted
returns. - Demonstrate that Norfund, ILX and the broader MDB and DFI ecosystem are experienced, trusted and reliable investment partners with commercial and impact-minded investment processes.
This event is meant for institutional investors. Please register to request an invitation.
